The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) resumed its services on Monday after a five-month suspension, to which CISF Director General Rajesh Ranjan appealed to passengers to carry at least luggage and metal items. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) chief made the appeal for speed baggage screening and frisking to avoid congestion at the checking point.
The CISF Director General said after visiting Delhi metro stations that DMRC has resumed its services on the Yellow Line from 7 am.
He also reviewed the situation and the arrangements made from the perspective of CISF to organize the challenge of Coronavirus.
He said that all types of additional protective measures are being followed in view of the coronavirus epidemic.
Ranjan along with other senior officials including Sudhir Kumar Saxena ADG (Headquarters), Dayal Gangwar Inspector General (NCR), Jitender Rana DIG (DMRC) climbed from the Central Secretariat and visited the metro from Rajiv Chowk to Jorbagh.
During the tour, Ranjan met CISF personnel and made them aware of the new government guidelines, during which he also interacted with metro passengers.
