Meerut In Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, an accused who had collected illegal donations in the name of Ram temple construction has been arrested. A case has been registered against the accused in the medical station. The accused is being questioned by the police. Medical Station Incharge Kulbir Singh said that Narendra Rana, who was cutting slips from fake trust in the name of building Shri Ram temple in Meerut, has been arrested by the police. The accused also maintained an office in Jagriti Vihar in the name of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. A case of cheating has been registered with the police station against it.
Police is questioning it. Apart from slips and registers, other similar items have been seized from its office. Police said that till now only two thousand rupees have been received. He has not been able to collect more money than this. The case is being investigated. Vishwa Hindu Parishad metropolitan convenor Arjun Rathi said that Narendra Rana, a resident of Kushavali village in Muzaff Ranagar, had opened a fake office in the name of Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Jagriti Vihar. On Thursday, he made an announcement from Chamundeshwar Mahadev Shiva temple of Jitouli village, under which information was given to cut the name of Shri Ram temple on Friday. After this, when the priest approached him, it came to know that the matter is fake.
On Friday, he along with other members of the council reached Narendra Rana’s office in Jagriti Vihar and grabbed it and handed it over to the medical police station. VHP officials said that Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has issued an account number and in the same account, funds are being taken for the construction of the temple. Apart from this, there is no order or right to collect donations. No person can collect money personally.
