San Francisco | Facebook is working on a new feature that will enable you to link your account with paid news subscriptions so that you don’t have to login again or click on the paywall to read them. According to a TechCrunch report, the aim is to help news publishers to provide a better experience to their paying subscribers on the social networking platform.
According to the company, subscribers who linked their accounts clicked on an average of 111 percent more articles than those who were not part of the test group. The publisher rate for these subscribers increased to 97 per cent, from 34 per cent earlier.
When subscribers added their accounts with news publishers, they started seeing more content than before.
In the US, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Athletic and The Winnipeg Free Press are some of the newspapers working towards adopting the feature.
