The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing money laundering in the case of the death of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has sought help from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to investigate the drug syndicate nexus. A highly placed ED source said that the Financial Investigation Agency has written a letter to the NCB seeking cooperation to investigate the drug angle. Idi wants to know if there is any drug angle in Sushant Singh’s death.
The ED had filed a money laundering case on 31 July based on the FIR of the Bihar Police. Bihar Police FIR Sushant Singh’s father K.K. It was written after Singh’s complaint. In this case, the ED has already recorded the statements of Sushant’s father, Sushant’s sister – Priyanka Singh, Mitu Singh.
The ED has also recorded statements of Sushant’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty, her brother Shouvik, Pate Indrajit. Apart from this, ED has also questioned Sushant’s former manager, flatmate Siddharth Pithani, house manager Samuel Miranda, CA Sandeep etc.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, the team of CPBI continued to interrogate Siddharth Pithani, Sushant’s personal staff Neeraj Singh.
According to sources, the CBI has summoned two officers of the Mumbai Police for questioning.
The CBI team also visited Sushant’s flat twice with the forensic team. The CBI visited Waterstone Resort twice in the last four days. The CBI team also went to Cooper Hospital where Sushant had an autopsy.
But the CBI has not yet called Riya Chakraborty and her family members for questioning. The CBI has also sought help from AIIMS’s forensic department to understand Sushant’s autopsy report.
Let us know that after the order of the Supreme Court, the CBI has taken over the investigation in the case of Sushant’s death, since which the investigation has gained momentum.
