Madrid | Spain football club FC Barcelona’s striker Luis Suarez is now on the verge of dropping out of the club. As reported by the local radio station, new coach Ronald Koeman has told Uruguay player Suarez that he is not part of their strategy for the upcoming season.
Reportedly, the radio station, believed to be quite close with the Barcelona club, reported that Koeman had called Suarez this Monday and briefed him during a brief conversation.
The 33-year-old Suarez contract is scheduled to expire at Camp Now in June 2021, and now his lawyer will negotiate with the club on the matter.
Former Liverpool striker Suarez joined Barcelona in 2014. He has scored 198 goals and 109 assists in 283 matches so far for Barcelona. He is the third highest scorer in club history.
Two days before the news was broadcast by radio, Suarez told Spanish newspersons that no one spoke to him about his future.
