Lucknow. Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane arrived here on Friday. He met Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. On this occasion, security arrangements were discussed on the border of Uttar Pradesh with Nepal. Earlier, Chief of Army Staff Manoj Mukund reached Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in a special aircraft. From there, he reached the Surya Sports Complex of the camp by helicopter. From here, the road reached the Central Command Headquarters in Lucknow Cantonment. Here, both military, operational and administrative aspects were discussed with the General Command General, General Ikarup Singh Ghuman.
General Narwane expressed satisfaction with the efforts being made to increase the capacity of military forces in the central region and to ensure operational effectiveness and infrastructure development. He praised the Central Command for achieving high standard of operational preparedness.
He appreciated the efforts being made by the front line soldiers working in very difficult weather and conditions in high altitude areas.
It may be known that China had increased the number of soldiers on the border with Uttarakhand a few days ago. This area comes under Central Command. Their visit is also important because tensions have increased between China and India at this time.
