Mumbai. Actress and former beauty queen Manushi Chillar says that for her, the festival of Raksha Bandhan has always been of equal gender values and equality.
According to Manushi, his parents Mitra Basu and Neelam have taught the three siblings – Devangana, Dalmitra and Manushi that protecting each other and standing with each other is of paramount importance.
Manushi said, “In my family, my parents always gave importance to the same values and sense of equality, whether it is to work or to celebrate the festival. That’s why when we celebrated Raksha Bandhan, it was a joint opportunity for us Used to be.”
He said, “Devangana, Dalmitra and I have always celebrated it as a day in which we as brothers and sisters appreciate this relationship and promise that we will always stand up for each other. We are the best Friends! ”
Manushi says that due to such upbringing of parents, his brother Dalmitra is very progressive.
He said, “My brother, being the youngest, has been vocal about himself that he needs his sisters as much as we need him.”
Manushi, who won the crown of Miss World in 2017, said, “This thing has come from our parents in us. They are our ideals in all matters of their principles, morals, philosophy etc.”
She thanks her parents for teaching them “things like being independent, inclusive and leading with the right values”.
