Jammu. Pakistan on Tuesday violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. This violated the ceasefire in two sectors of the district. Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Devendra Anand said, “At around 10 am today, Pakistan started a ceasefire violation in the Dagwar and town sectors of Poonch district of Poonch district by firing with small arms and firing shells from mortar.” The Indian Army is retaliating.
Pakistan has been violating the ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir since early this year. So far it has violated 2,711 times, killing 21 civilians and injuring 94.
