Former Union Minister Kapil Sibal has raised questions on Governor Kalraj Mishra amidst political uproar in Rajasthan. Kapil Sibal wrote on Twitter on Tuesday whether Kalraj Mishra has taken the oath of constitution or the interests of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Significantly, the Congress party is constantly questioning the governor for not calling the assembly session.
Kapil Sibal questioned whether the High Court of Rajasthan will not follow the rules set by the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court? Is there any other law that is being followed?
Let us tell you that three big leaders of Congress including Kapil Sibal have also written a letter to Governor Kalraj Mishra. Kapil Sibal, Salman Khurshid, Ashwini Kumar, who wrote the letter, have also been law ministers of the country, in which they have said that if the assembly session is not called then a constitutional crisis can arise in the state. Significantly, Kapil Sibal also presented a favor in the court on behalf of the Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.
Actually, Governor Kalraj Mishra has been asked by the Congress government to call the assembly session. However, the Governor has spoken of the Corona virus crisis, as well as the clarity in the letter. Apart from this, now the matter of 21 days notice has been revealed for calling the assembly session. This is why Kalraj Mishra is constantly being targeted by the Congress.
The Congress thinks that it should prove its majority in the Assembly at the earliest or disqualify the Sachin Pilot faction by calling a session. In such a situation, the Congress is busy in this direction, although it has not got success in this matter so far.
Congress MLAs had also staged a sit-in at the Raj Bhavan to call the session, besides Congress workers are demonstrating in different parts of the country. Earlier, the Congress had threatened to encircle the Raj Bhavan, but the Congress withdrew the decision for fear of constitutional crisis arising out of it.
