Ayodhya: Preparations for Ayodhya Ram Temple Construction of Ayodhya have started. Some changes will be seen in the new model of the temple as some significant changes are being made to the design made in 1988. The architect of the temple said that the temple is being built higher than the height set in the previous design. The temple will be 161 feet high. In the previous design, its height was set to 141 feet. It is known that the construction of the temple will begin on August 5 with a grand Bhoomi Pujan, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and some special guests will be called, in which PM will lay the foundation of the temple.
Nikhil Sompura, son of the architect and chief architect of the temple-C Somapura, said that the earlier design was made in 1988. 30 years have passed … now more people are expected to come. People are also very excited to visit this temple. So we thought that its size should be increased. According to the revised design, the height of the temple has been increased from 141 feet to 161. ‘ He added that two new pavilions have also been added to the new design. He said, “All the pillars and carved stones made according to the previous design will be used, just two new pavilions have been added.”
Nikhil Sompura told that the construction of the temple will take about three and a half years. He said that once the land is worshiped in the presence of PM, construction work will start. The team from L&T (Larsen and Toubro) has reached the construction site along with the machinery and construction materials and the foundation laying will begin immediately. It will take 3 to 3½ years to complete the construction.
It is known that in the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony happening on August 5, the rituals will start three days before the Vedic rituals. According to the news agency, the ritual will begin on August 3. PM Modi will keep a 40 kg silver brick as the foundation stone here. No more than 50 distinguished guests will gather at this ceremony. Bhoomi Poojan was to be held two months ago, but due to coronavirus it had to be postponed.
The trust Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra, which takes responsibility of the temple, told that large CCTV screens have been installed throughout Ayodhya so that people can watch the events from there.
