new Delhi . Maulana Dr. Mufti Mohammad Mukarram, Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Mosque, declared on Tuesday that the new moon has not yet appeared, so Eid-ul Azha i.e. Bakrid will be celebrated on August 1. Maulana Mukarram Fatehpuri is also the chairman of the Royal Hilal Committee. At the same time, the Marakji Chand Committee also said that there was no moon sighting on Tuesday.
On the other hand, Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar have announced that Eid-ul Azha will be celebrated on 31 July.
According to the Islamic calendar, Eid-ul Azha is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hija.
