Kathmandu These days, Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is following every move at the behest of China, has now challenged the Indian faith after the audacity of encroachment in the Indian border. Oli has disputed claims that Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, is in Nepal. He also claimed that Lord Rama was Nepali.
Nepal’s Prime Minister Oli challenged Indian faith
In an event held on Monday at the PM residence in Kathmandu, Oli said, ‘Ayodhya is actually in Thori town west of Birbhum district in Nepal. India claims that Lord Rama was born there. Due to this consistent claim, we have started to believe that Goddess Sita was married to Prince Rama of India. While in reality Ayodhya is a village located near Birbhumi. ‘ Nepal’s Prime Minister Oli accused India of cultural encroachment and said, “India has created a fake Ayodhya”.
Strange arguments over Oli’s petty claims
He claimed that the Balmiki Ashram is in Nepal and that the holy place where King Dasaratha performed a yajna for the birth of a son is Ridi. He said that Dasharatha son Ram was not an Indian and Ayodhya is also in Nepal. Oli gave a peculiar argument on these petty claims that when there was no way of communication, how did Lord Ram come to Janakpur to marry Sita?
He also claimed that it was impossible for Lord Rama to come from present-day Ayodhya in India to Janakpur. Oli said, ‘Janakpur is here and Ayodhya is there and we are talking about marriage. There was neither a mobile phone nor a telephone, so how did he come to know about Janakpur. ‘ It should be noted that Nepali Prime Minister Oli, who has been continuously working against India on the incitement of China, has recently included it in his new controversial map, asserting his claim on Indian Territory Lipulekh and Kalapani.
Allegations on India for toppling government
Recently, when Oli blamed India for asking for a resignation by his party colleagues, relations between the two countries worsened. During a rally, PM Oli alleged that his Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders who were trying to ‘topple his government’ are doing so at the behest of India. He had said that conspiracies were being hatched in Indian embassies and hotels to topple his government.
Indian TV channels were banned
In the past, Indian TV channels except Doordarshan were banned in Nepal. Nepal alleged that Indian channels were tarnishing the image of PM Oli. However, this ban was later lifted. Nepal, through its ambassador in India, demanded that action be taken against such TV channels which are tarnishing the image of PM Oli.
