New Delhi / Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. This meeting of CM Shivraj with PM Modi is very important, because the politics of cabinet expansion in Madhya Pradesh has once again warmed up. According to sources, an important decision has to be taken regarding cabinet expansion in Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, cabinet expansion is possible in the state on 30 June.
Sunday is a day of great celebrations
Sunday was an important day for the much awaited expansion of Shivraj’s cabinet. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who arrived in Delhi after about three months, had a long discussion with BJP national president Jagatprakash Nadda, organization general minister BL Santosh and Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar regarding the list of potential ministers. Chauhan has also been accompanied by State BJP President VD Sharma and State Organization General Secretary Suhas Bhagat.
Meanwhile, in view of the ill health of Governor Lalji Tandon, the President has given additional charge of MP to Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel. She will come to Bhopal on Monday and take oath at Raj Bhavan. After this, there is a possibility that the new members in the cabinet can be administered the oath on 30 June.
What is political mathematics?
Shivraj Singh Chauhan as Chief Minister is completing almost a hundred days, but his team has not been fully formed. In the first phase of expansion due to the lockdown, he was able to add five ministers to his team. Of these, three were from BJP quota and two from Scindia quota. Since then, the discussion of cabinet expansion has been going on continuously, but the party could not reach the conclusion due to not getting permission from the high command.
Due to increasing pressure from BJP MLAs including Scindia supporters, there has been a rumor of cabinet expansion at a time when the Governor of the state Lalji Tandon is in Lucknow due to ill health. The Governor’s charge for the oath is to be temporarily handed over to the Governor of another state. It is expected that a decision will also be taken on Monday.
