90s Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni has returned to India after 24 years. After returning to India, Mamta Kulkarni is making headlines due to her statements. Meanwhile, she has told why she disappeared from India and will she return to Bollywood after returning to India?
Speaking to news agency IANS, Mamta Kulkarni told the reason for her disappearance from India. She said- ‘The reason for my departure from India was spirituality. In 1996, I was inclined towards spirituality and during that time I met Guru Gagan Giri Maharaj. After his arrival, my interest in spirituality increased. After this, my penance started.’
Mamta Kulkarni remained celibate for 12 years
On the question of being missing for 24 years, Mamta further said- ‘I believe that Bollywood gave me name and fame. After this, I also left Bollywood. I kept doing penance from the year 2000 to 2012. I was in Dubai for many years and lived in a two-bedroom hall and was a celibate for 12 years.’
Will Mamta Kulkarni return to Bollywood?
Mamta Kulkarni clarified her stand on Bollywood comeback. The actress said- ‘Now I am a sanyasi and I am neither interested in Bollywood nor do I care about anything else. I am not of the age to think about Bollywood again. I want to live a spiritual life and participate in spiritual debates, so that I can connect everyone.’
‘I left Bollywood…’
Mamta Kulkarni also spoke openly about the FIR registered against her in the drugs case. She said- ‘What did I lack? People do this for money. I had offers for 10 films at that time and I had three houses and two cars. However, I left Bollywood. I think a false case was registered against me in the drugs case because of Vicky or publicity.’
The ‘Karan Arjun’ actress further said- ‘The officer who filed the case against me. I was declared a fugitive, he too was declared a fugitive for a few months. As you sow, so shall you reap. Where is that commissioner today and the police had no evidence.’
‘There are a lot of potholes on the road, Mumbai should be improved’
Mamta expressed her happiness on returning to Mumbai after years. She said- ‘When I was reaching Mumbai, I became very emotional. Tears came to my eyes, because I remembered everything from where I started and the Bollywood from which I got so much. I have seen a lot of change in Mumbai. However, there is a lot of traffic here and the condition of the road is also very bad. I had heard about the budget of BMC being Rs 25 thousand crores, but I don’t think any such work has been done. There are a lot of potholes on the road here. Mumbai should be improved, because Mumbai is the economic capital of the country. Cleanliness should also be arranged in Mumbai.’
Mamta will visit Ram Mandir
Mamta Kulkarni said that she has come for a few months only. She will keep coming and going to Mumbai. But after a few months she will stay in Mumbai forever. The actress also said that she will visit Ram Mandir and Kashi Vishwanath Mandir. Apart from this, she will also go to Kumbh and take two royal baths.
