A girl from the area had complained to the police on November 27 by giving a written date in Duddhi police station that Mangalam Chero, resident of Garhdarwa, son of former MLA Hariram of Duddhi, raped me several times on the pretext of marriage.
After that he refused to marry me. On complaining, he has threatened to kill me. In this regard, a case was registered in the relevant sections in Duddhi police station. Duddhi police arrested accused Mangalam Chero from Hathinala and sent him to jail.
Thieves target jewelry shop
On Tuesday night, in Gajraj Nagar area, thieves broke the lock of a jewelry shop and stole silver jewelry worth about fifty thousand rupees. On Wednesday morning, on coming to know about the incident, the shop owner informed the police about the matter.
The police, who reached the spot, started the investigation after taking information from the victim shopkeeper. Satyendra Soni, a resident of Obra, runs a shop named Om Jewelers and Utensils Store in a house located in Gajraj Nagar area. On Tuesday night, the thieves broke the lock of the shop’s shutter and stole the silver jewelry kept in it.
At the time of the incident, the thieves also locked the door from outside for the tenants living just behind the shop. When the tenant Bhagwati Lal woke up on Wednesday morning, he tried to go out. But he could not go out because the door was locked from outside, after which he suspected something was wrong.
He immediately told the landlord everything over the phone. After this, Satyendra Soni reached the spot with his father. He saw that the main door of the house was locked from outside. Also, the lock of the shop’s shutter was broken. When he went to the shop and looked, the silver jewelry kept there was missing.
According to the shop owner, the thieves also tried to open the safe kept in the shop but did not succeed. This prevented a major loss. At the same time, people are scared due to two thefts in the area within a week.
