There was mourning in a house on the occasion of Diwali in Sisamau, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A cylinder suddenly exploded outside the house. A 40-year-old man died in this incident. At the same time, his wife was seriously injured, who has been admitted to the hospital. It is being told that the man had gone to the agency to get a gas cylinder. There was a sudden blast when he reached outside the house with the cylinder.
ADCP Kanpur Mukesh Kumar said that a man named Surendra was bringing a cylinder. There was an explosion while unloading the cylinder. Surendra died on the spot and his wife has been admitted to the hospital. FSL teams have reached the spot. Investigation is going on.
Explosion took place outside the couple’s house
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Dinesh Tripathi said that this incident took place in Gandhi Nagar area of Sisamau police station area on Thursday morning. He told that the explosion took place outside the couple’s house. Tripathi said, “Surendra had reached home with the cylinder on his two-wheeler and while he was trying to unload the cylinder from the vehicle outside his house, it exploded, killing him. His wife Navita came down to help him, she too was seriously injured in the explosion and has been admitted to the hospital.” The official said that local police and forensic experts reached the spot immediately after the incident and the exact cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained. Tripathi said that no other person was injured in the incident. The DCP said that the body has been sent for post-mortem and legal action is being taken in the case.
