When Sone Lal Maurya, who lives in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, saw such videos, he came straight to Shivpuri. He had come here to buy a girl.
35-year-old Sone Lal is not getting married. He was so upset about this that he came to Shivpuri to buy a bride. He thought that he would buy a bride here and marry her and settle down. Sone Lal told- I saw some videos on YouTube about Dhadicha Pratha in Shivpuri. In these videos, it was told that girls are available in Shivpuri, a market is held. I reached Shivpuri in search of a girl and kept asking people here about such a market.

Then an NGO worker noticed him and said that no such market is held in Shivpuri. Sonalal Maurya said that he is 35 years old and is still not married. He has done ITI and knows typing too. Currently, he is doing business of herbs with a private firm. He earns well but regrets not getting married. He saw a video related to Shivpuri on YouTube and after watching this video, he came to Shivpuri. Then he asked the local people about this market. But later he returned disappointed when he came to know that no such market is held here.
Some NGO workers living in Shivpuri said that the image of Shivpuri is being tarnished due to Dhadicha tradition, on which the police should take action.
