Hyderabad: It has been 11 days since Junior NTR’s new film Devra Part 1 was released in theatres. The film has crossed the 466 crore mark at the box office worldwide. At the same time, it is struggling hard to touch the 250 crore mark in India.
Devra performed well in the second weekend. The film was released on 27 September in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The Telugu version of the film has earned more than expected, however, the Hindi version of the film has also performed well.
The film had a bumper opening of about 80 crore rupees in all languages combined, but after the first day its earnings gradually declined. But as soon as the second weekend started, the film again picked up speed and has been successful in earning 243.1 crore rupees till last Sunday. It was expected that the film would earn 250 crore rupees on Monday. But it failed to do so.
According to Saknilak, on the 10th day of release, i.e. the third Monday, there was a decline of 61.26 percent as compared to Sunday. However, this decline is better than the second Monday. On the 11th day, Deora did a business of Rs 4.9 crore. In this way, Junior NTR’s film has managed to make a total collection of Rs 248.65 crore after 11 days. It is expected that by the end of Tuesday, it will cross the figure of Rs 250 crore in India.
Deora will get a tough competition on Friday, as Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’ and Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ are releasing. Therefore, there are fewer days left for Deora to add more money to its account.
