Varanasi. Hearing of pending cases regarding Gyanvapi was held in the court of District Judge Sanjeev Pandey on Saturday. In this, on the application in the case of Kiran Singh on behalf of Lord Adi Vishweshwar Virajman, the District Judge questioned the lawyers of the parties regarding the petition filed in the High Court in this case.
The date of October 5 has been fixed for the next hearing. It has been told in the application that the original suit and the revision petition filed by Anjuman Intezamia Masjid against it cannot be heard simultaneously in the court of the District Judge.
It has been demanded that the original suit be transferred to the concerned court or the revision petition be dismissed. The District Judge wanted to know from the lawyers of the plaintiff on the basis of which provision the application is maintainable.
In the original suit, there has been a demand to perform worship-recitation, Raag-Bhog and other religious activities of the Shivling found during the survey in Gyanvapi. The maintainability of the suit was challenged by Anjuman Intezamia Masjid which was dismissed by the Civil Judge (Senior Division Fast Track) on November 17, 2022.
