The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Saturday summoned the DNA report of the fetus aborted by the victim in the Ayodhya rape case. The bench has ordered the Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory to submit the report within a week. The next date of hearing in this case has been fixed for September 30.
This order was passed by a single bench of Justice Pankaj Bhatia on the bail plea of accused Mueed Ahmed (71). The accused claimed that he has been implicated in the case for political reasons and he has not been given any documents.
Sample sent for DNA test
Opposing the petition, Additional Advocate General VK Shahi on behalf of the state government argued that the case is of very serious nature and the victim is a minor. He said that after the incident, the victim also became pregnant and after the abortion, the sample has been sent for DNA test.
Police arrested the accused
After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court summoned the report of the DNA test. Uttar Pradesh Police arrested bakery owner Mueed and his employee from Pura Kalandar area of Ayodhya district on July 30 in the rape case. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had claimed in the assembly that the accused are associated with the Samajwadi Party.
DNA test of two accused
Let us tell you that DNA samples of the main accused Moeed Khan and Raju Khan were taken on August 6 in the Ayodhya rape case. This sample will be matched with the sample taken from the victim. At the same time, Ayodhya district CMO Sanjay Jain said that he is guilty and is imprisoned in jail. I was instructed to allot a doctor to take his DNA sample. I have got his sampling done by a doctor related to this.

SP President Akhilesh Yadav had demanded DNA test of the accused. Both the accused in the rape case of a 12-year-old girl in Ayodhya are currently lodged in Ayodhya jail. The police have now taken samples of both the accused Moeed Khan and Raju for DNA test. The DNA FSL report will be filed in the court.
