Lucknow. The government has made changes in the police department. 17 IPS officers including IG Aligarh and SPs of eight districts have been transferred. Officers posted in the Police Commissionerate have also been shifted. Shalabh Mathur, who was in charge of Aligarh Range, has been posted as IG Establishment. DIG Establishment Prabhakar Chaudhary has been made DIG Range Aligarh. Apart from SSP Jhansi, SPs of Rae Bareli, Unnao, Sonbhadra, Auraiya, Maheba, Shahjahanpur and Sambhal have also been changed. Rae Bareli SP Abhishek Kumar Agarwal has been posted in Police Commissionerate Agra. A complaint was lodged against him recently regarding harassment of a taxi operator. Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Vadra also raised questions on the working style of the police regarding the case of sending an innocent to jail. It is believed that he was removed due to these complaints. Jhansi SSP Rajesh S has been made the new SP of Shahjahanpur. Sudha Singh, who was posted in PAC, has been made SSP Jhansi.
