The side effects of the Lok Sabha election results are starting to show. BJP’s performance in UP was poor. The party lost 29 seats this time. The main reason for the defeat was considered to be the opposition’s dominance on social media. After this, the Yogi government of UP has also started doing homework. A social media policy has been prepared to effectively promote the government’s work. In which social media influencers can get Rs 8 to 2 lakh every month.
The UP cabinet passed the social media policy today. It was not mentioned in the press conference after the cabinet meeting, but the government has passed it. Influencers of X, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram will get money every month according to the number of followers. The only condition is that they will have to promote the UP government. They will also have to register with the Information Department. If the UP government ever feels that the content is indecent, obscene and anti-national, then legal action can also be taken against them.
The government has created categories for different social media platforms
Similar categories have been created for influencers of X, Facebook and Instagram. Four different groups have been created for them. According to the number of followers, they will get 5, 4, 3 and 2 lakh rupees every month. Four different categories have been created for YouTubers. There is a plan to give them 8, 7, 6 and 4 lakh rupees every month. Before UP, a similar policy was introduced in Rajasthan. At that time Ashok Gehlot was the Chief Minister there. However, now the government has changed there and BJP’s Bhajan Lal is the Chief Minister.
Focus on social media has increased after the elections
After the Lok Sabha election results, BJP has become serious about the influence of social media. In the meetings held after the elections, party leaders and workers have been asked to remain active on the ground as well as on social media. The party high command has instructed that the leaders should promote and propagate the government’s schemes on social media in a big way.
