Lucknow. The state government on Monday reshuffled the departments of eight senior IAS officers. 1989 batch IAS officer Monika SS Garg has been given the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary Minority Welfare Department as well as Agriculture Production Commissioner.
1996 batch M Devraj has been given the responsibility of Principal Secretary Appointment and Personnel from Principal Secretary Technical and Vocational Education. Devraj has also been given additional charge of State Tax.
1993 batch Veena Kumari Meena has been removed from Women Welfare and Child Development Nutrition Department. 1994 batch Principal Secretary Leena Johri has been given Women Welfare and Child Development Nutrition Department.
Veena Kumari will continue to hold the Excise and Sugarcane Department. 1999 batch Ravindra has been made Principal Secretary Agriculture from Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry. K Ravindra Nayak has been given additional charge of Animal Husbandry Department along with Principal Secretary Secretariat Administration. Alok Kumar has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare and MSME as well as Technical Education and Vocational Education. Charge of State Tax has been removed from Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Ramesh Gokarna, he will continue to hold Housing and Urban Planning Department as before.
Devesh Chaturvedi relieved for central deputation
On Monday, the state government relieved Devesh Chaturvedi for the central government. Before being relieved, Devesh met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Government of India has appointed Devesh as the Union Agriculture Secretary. Devesh was handling the responsibility of Agriculture Production Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretary Appointment and Personnel and Agriculture Department in the state.
