Noida Police has arrested two accused from different places who were supplying banned e-cigarettes through car and bullet. E-cigarettes worth about Rs 15 lakh were recovered from these accused. Police has seized the car, bullet and mobile of both.
Let us tell you that Thana 39 police has caught Riyaz Ahmed near Sector-37. Sector-49 police has arrested Ranjit with e-cigarettes worth lakhs. Additional DCP Manish Kumar Mishra said that on receiving information from the informer, a suspicious car was stopped for checking near Sector-37. When this car was searched, China made e-cigarettes worth eight lakhs were found in it. Sector-49 police arrested Ranjit of Pratapgarh with e-cigarettes worth lakhs.
On demand supply
Ranjit, currently living in Barola, used to supply e-cigarettes from Bullet. One e-cigarette is sold for 4 to 5 thousand rupees. This cigarette was supplied on demand to PG, college and other places. Due to high demand, the price of banned e-cigarettes also increases manifold. Police said that this type of e-cigarette is supplied more around famous colleges.
E-cigarettes brought via Nepal
According to Additional DCP Manish Kumar Mishra of Noida, the accused told during interrogation that the consignment of e-cigarettes is brought to Delhi via Nepal. From Delhi it is sent to other states and districts for sale. Many gangs supplying e-cigarettes are active around Delhi and Rajasthan, which are earning profits of lakhs of rupees every month.
Smuggling gang busted
He told that some time ago the police of Sector-39 and Sector-63 police station had busted a gang smuggling e-cigarettes. Here also banned e-cigarettes had come via Nepal. The WhatsApp group of the arrested accused is being checked.
