Prayagraj. The release order of former BJP MLA Udaybhan Karwaria could not be issued by the local administration on Monday. Udaybhan’s bond could not be deposited due to the District Magistrate being on leave. On Tuesday, on the arrival of the District Magistrate or with his permission, the District Magistrate in-charge Gaurav Kumar will deposit the bond. After this, the release order will be sent from the District Magistrate’s office to the Jail Superintendent.
On Monday, advocates and his supporters reached the District Magistrate’s office to deposit Udaybhan’s bond. The advocates kept waiting till late evening that the bond would be deposited. Now after the bond is deposited on Tuesday, the release order will reach Naini Central Jail from here. After that Udaybhan Karwaria will be released.
The government took the decision of premature release
In Prayagraj in the year 1996, a case was registered against Udaybhan Karwaria and others in the case of murder of former SP MLA Jawahar Pandit. On November 4, 2019, the court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment. The government decided to release them prematurely in view of their conduct.
District Magistrate in-charge Gaurav Kumar said that on Tuesday the process of depositing the bond will be completed by the District Magistrate himself or with his permission.
