In Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, friendship on social media became a curse for two lives. When love blossomed from friendship on Instagram, its end was also bad. Sitting in the park, the lover and the girlfriend took vows to live and die together with sindoor in their hands. Then both of them ended their lives by consuming poisonous substance after making a video call to their relative. According to the police, both of them had already planned and went to the park with poisonous substance, but what is the real reason behind the suicide, it will be known only after investigation.
The case is of Ambedkar Park located in Mirzapur Kodra of Akbarpur police station area, where the lover couple first took vows to stay together for seven lives, then consumed poisonous substance, due to which the young man died during treatment and a few hours later the girl also died during treatment in Government Medical College. It is being told that both of them came close to each other through social media site Instagram about eight months ago. Their friendship on social media soon turned into love.
The young man used to work in Delhi
Suraj Verma (30), a resident of Buxarpur in Sammanpur police station area, lived in Delhi with his parents, wife and two daughters. He was earning a living for his family by doing a private job in Delhi. According to the information, about eight months ago, he became friends with a 19-year-old girl from Ayodhya on the social media site Instagram, since then both of them started talking. Within a few days, their friendship turned into love. When Suraj came home from Delhi, both of them decided to meet each other.
Both died during treatment
On Thursday itself, both of them took vows to live and die together in the park. Shortly after, Suraj made a video call to his relative and said that we are going to commit suicide by consuming poison, then both of them consumed poison. After consuming poison, the condition of both of them started deteriorating. Both were immediately sent to the district hospital, where Suraj died during treatment. The girl was sent to the medical college from here, where she also died. Additional Superintendent of Police Vishal Pandey said that the police is investigating the entire matter. The families have been informed about the incident. Post-mortem of the bodies is being done.
