The scorching heat continues to wreak havoc in Uttar Pradesh and due to this heat, a case of death of 13 people has also come to light in Mirzapur. Among those who have died, 7 home guards, 5 civilians and 1 unknown have died and the treatment of 23 home guards is still going on. The heat in Mirzapur remains fatal, here 13 people including 6 home guard jawans who went on election duty have died due to heat stroke. The dead include a clerk, a sanitation worker and another. On receiving information about this, many officials including the District Election Officer reached the Trauma Center. A total of 23 jawans who came from election duty were admitted to the trauma center of the divisional hospital. Which includes 20 home guards, one fire, one PAC and one police jawan. All of them were admitted to the trauma center when their condition deteriorated during election duty. The administration is engaged in action by informing the families of the deceased. Medical College Principal Raj Bahadur Kamal said that fever and high BP could be the cause of death of 13 election workers in Mirzapur, although the exact reason is being ascertained.
Medical College Principal Dr. RB Kamal said on this matter that a total of 23 jawans have come to us, out of which one is from PAC, one is from fire service and one is from police, the remaining 20 were home guard jawans. 6 home guard jawans have died. Two jawans are still in critical condition. Regarding the death of the jawans, he said that when they came to us, they had high fever, sugar level and BP were very high. The reason for their death can also be brain stroke.
Two polling personnel also died in Sonbhadra
Two polling personnel have died in UP’s Sonbhadra district due to heat stroke. Sonbhadra DM Chandra Vijay Singh said, “A polling party was to leave from the dispatch center in Robertsganj today. Three polling officers, including a policeman, fell ill due to heat. Two polling officers died. The CMO said that heatstroke-like symptoms were seen in the polling officers brought here.”
Police inspector dies during election duty in Rae Bareli
Along with this, a police inspector has also died during election duty in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. Regarding this matter, Dr. Dawood Hussain, Emergency Medical Officer of the District Hospital, said, “Police Inspector Hari Shankar had difficulty in breathing today. He died during treatment in the hospital.”
