A sensational case came to light on Thursday in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. The bodies of two elderly sisters were found in a bungalow located in Arjun Nagar of Shahganj police station area. Both the bodies were said to be about four to five days old. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took the bodies in their custody and sent them for post-mortem and started investigation. Local people told that both the sisters were not married. They used to live alone at home. They did not even talk to anyone. Sometimes they were seen going to the market.
Two real sisters Madhu (70) and Ritu (65) lived together in a bungalow in Arjun Nagar. Madhu was retired from nursing in a government department, while Ritu was associated with Navodaya Vidyalaya. In the two-storey bungalow, the tenants lived on the ground floor and both the sisters lived on the first floor. The tenants had gone out four days ago. Both the sisters were alone in the bungalow. On Thursday, when the tenants returned home, they felt a strange odor coming from the first floor. When they went upstairs and looked, the room was closed.
The bodies of both the women were lying on the sofa
The tenant immediately informed the police about this. The police arrived on the information and broke the lock of the room and entered inside. The police was stunned to see the scene inside. The body of elder sister Madhu and younger sister Ritu was lying on the sofa. Also, a foul smell was coming from the bodies. The police took possession of both the bodies and sent them for postmortem. The condition in which both the bodies were found and the foul smell coming from them, it is being estimated that both the sisters had died four to five days ago.
Both the sisters used to live alone at home
Local people told during interrogation that both the sisters were living alone for many years. They used to go out only to get things. Both the sisters were not married and did not even talk to the people around. It was also found out that the bungalow in which both the sisters lived was worth crores. In such a situation, whether they have committed suicide or someone has murdered them. This will be known only after the postmortem report. In this regard, DCP City Suraj Kumar Rai said that the bodies of two elderly women have been found. Efforts are being made to find out the cause of death.
