The results of Allahabad High Court Bar Association, the largest bar association of lawyers in Asia, have been declared. In this tough competition of the Bar Association, senior advocate Anil Tiwari has been elected President of the Association. Anil Tiwari has defeated his nearest rival Rakesh Pandey Babua by 603 votes. Anil Tiwari has secured a total of 3048 votes in this election, while Rakesh Pandey has secured 2445 votes. In this election, Veer Singh got 1320 votes, Prabha Shankar Mishra got 453 votes, Mahendra Bahadur Singh got 396 votes and Avinash Chandra got 270 votes.
Vikrant Pandey gave a tough fight for the post of Secretary and won by 81 votes. Vikrant Pandey got 1959 votes and his nearest rival Akhilesh Kumar Sharma got 1878 votes. Rai Saheb Yadav is in third place, he has got 1704 votes. Voting is still going on for other posts of the executive.
What percentage of voting took place?
Chief Electoral Officer VM Zaidi said that this time a total of 85.15 percent voting took place in the elections. There were a total of 9684 voters in the election, out of which 8246 voters cast their votes. A total of 16 booths were made for voting. After counting, a total of 8253 votes were found valid. In this election of the Bar Association, voting was held for 28 posts including President and Secretary. In this election, 9684 voters had to decide the fate of 206 candidates. Voting for this election was conducted on Friday, the result of which was declared.
To ensure that the entire election was conducted in a fair and proper manner, it was conducted under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. No untoward incident has come to light during the elections. Security forces were also deployed during the completion of the election process. After voting, the ballot boxes were sealed and kept under tight security.
