A strange case has come to light from Ambedkar Nagar, UP, where two brothers modified an old car and turned it into an ‘airplane’. Both the brothers had a dream that by modifying the car into a ‘helicopter’, they could run it on wedding bookings for the bride and groom and earn money. But before their plan could be completed, the police caught sight of them.
The matter is of the bus stand of Akbarpur Kotwali area, where two brothers had modified the car and made it a ‘helicopter’. Both were taking the ‘helicopter’ for painting so that it could be taken in the wedding procession on booking. But on the way the traffic police stopped both of them. After questioning, his modified vehicle was seized under the MV Act.
According to the information, both are real brothers and residents of Khajuri Bazaar of Bhiti police station area. He had modified the car and given it the form of a ‘helicopter’. A fan was installed on top of it and the iron sheets at the back were rounded and shaped like the back of a helicopter.
After modifying, both the brothers reached Ambedkar Nagar district headquarters from Bhiti by helicopter to give the final touch. People were surprised to see this. When the police got information, they also reached the spot. It was found that both the brothers had converted the Wagoneer car into a ‘helicopter’.
Police seized the vehicle
The name of one brother is Ishwardin while the name of the other is Parameshwardin. He has modified the Wagoneer car into a ‘helicopter’. However, he did not take any permission for this modification. In such a situation, when he reached the district headquarters to get this modified vehicle painted, the police stopped him.
The said vehicle came in the sight of the traffic police near Akbarpur bus station and the traffic police took action and seized the modified vehicle. However, later the police released the said vehicle after taking a fine. But instructed not to use it.
In the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Vishal Pandey said that after the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, the police has increased vigilance from security point of view. Under this, on Sunday, while checking was done in Akbarpur Kotwali area, both the brothers were taking the car for petting. Police have recovered the modified car and seized it under 207 MV Act. Modification cannot be done without the permission of the RTO department.
