Samajwadi Party has released its third list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Names of five candidates have been declared in this list. The party has fielded candidates on seats like Badaun, Kairana and Bareilly. The party has changed its candidate on Badaun seat and has given ticket to Shivpal Yadav. Dharmendra Yadav was fielded from this seat in the first list.
In its third list, Samajwadi Party has given tickets to Iqra Hasan from Kairana, Shivpal Singh Yadav from Badaun, Praveen Singh Aron from Bareilly seat, Ajendra Singh Rajput from Hamirpur and Surendra Singh Patel from Varanasi. Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi Party has released three lists of candidates so far, in which it has fielded its candidates on 32 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats.
SP offered 17 seats to Congress
The third list of SP has come out when the party has offered 17 seats to Congress. For example, Akhilesh Yadav is reportedly in no mood to give more seats to Congress. He had earlier offered 11 seats out of 80 to the largest opposition party Congress. However, the Congress party is continuously saying that they are in talks with SP on this issue.
Differences between Akhilesh Yadav and Congress
Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party is part of the India Alliance, a grouping of opposition parties for the Lok Sabha elections. Akhilesh Yadav is having differences with Congress. Meanwhile, things allegedly got so bad that he released the list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections without even thinking.
Congress leaders had also criticized this and said that the list of India alliance will also come. Rahul Gandhi is in Uttar Pradesh but despite being a part of the alliance, Akhilesh Yadav has not met him.
Samajwadi Party candidates list
Samajwadi Party has released three lists of candidates so far. The first list was released by the party on January 30, in which Dimple Yadav was given ticket from Mainpuri, Shafiqur Rehman Burke from Sambhal and Ravidas Mehrotra from Lucknow Lok Sabha seat.
The second list was released on 19 February and Mukhtar Ansari’s brother Afzal Ansari has been fielded from Ghazipur. Harendra Malik was given ticket from Muzaffarnagar and Usha Verma from Hardoi seat.
