There was a dispute going on for the last 53 years over the Lakshgriha built in Barnawa in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. Its hearing was currently being held in Baghpat District and Sessions Court.
Baghpat Civil Judge Shivam Dwivedi has given this verdict in the trial that started in 1970. Mukim Khan, a resident of Barnawa, had filed the case in the Sardhana Court of Meerut in the capacity of an official of the Waqf Board. In which he had made Brahmachari Krishnadutt Maharaj, the founder of the Gurukul of Lakshagriha, the defendant. Muqeem Khan had claimed the ownership rights of Waqf Board on it. Which was the land of Sheikh Badruddin’s tomb and a big cemetery on the mound.
Hearing held on these charges
When the Muslim side had filed an appeal in the court, they had described the defendant Krishnadutt Maharaj as an outsider. The Muslim side had also said that Krishnadutt Maharaj wants to destroy the Muslim graveyard and make it a pilgrimage site for Hindus. Let us tell you that both Mukim Khan and Krishnadutt Maharaj, who presented evidence on behalf of the Hindu side and filed the case on behalf of the Muslim side, have passed away. In their place, other people were advocating in the court. The Muslim side had also claimed that there was a tomb of their Sheikh Badruddin here which was removed.

There is a total of 108 bighas of land in the case of Lakshgriha and Mazar-Kabristan dispute. At present, after the court’s decision, the complete ownership of this land will be with the Hindu side. There is also a tunnel from the Pandava period here, through which it is claimed that the Pandavas escaped from Lakshagriha through this tunnel. Opinion of historians has also been taken in this matter. Historian Amit Rai had said in this matter that whatever excavation has been done on this land, evidences thousands of years old have been found which are closer to Hindu civilization.
