Ramkot (Sitapur): The steam tank of grain distillery of Dalmia Sugar Mill, Jawaharpur suddenly burst with a loud explosion at 4 pm on Monday. Due to its impact, one welder and two helpers died on the spot. On the other hand, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the accident and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.
The work of installing railing was going on in the grain distillery of the mill. Welder Raju Maurya, son of Gendanlal, resident of Jahoorpur, CBganj police station, Bareilly, helper Vinod Kumar, son of Saheb Singh, resident of Fatehganj West and Avtar Singh, son of Resham Singh, resident of Idgah Jhala, Ramkot, Sitapur were doing welding.
It is said that due to increase in pressure the steam tank of the distillery suddenly burst with a loud bang. The youth working on the railing near the tank got injured. Due to the accident, a large part of the tin shed was damaged. The explosion was so strong that Avtaar Singh along with the tin was blown to pieces.
Hearing the sound, employees of sugar plant, power plant, liquor distillery etc. located in the factory premises came out. Raju Maurya, Vinod Kumar and Avtar Singh died on the spot. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, District Magistrate Anuj Singh and Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra arrived along with other officials and took information about the incident from the mill management and gave necessary instructions.
Three workers have died in a tank explosion accident at the distillery plant of Jawaharpur sugar mill. This grain distillery is running on trial basis. Will write a letter to the government to get the investigation done by the expert committee. Whoever is found negligent in this, action will be taken.
