Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to stop the approval of multi-storey buildings around prestigious temples in religious cities. On Monday, the Chief Minister was reviewing the GIS based Master Plan-2031 prepared by the concerned development authorities for the planned development of Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Mathura-Vrindavan.
The Chief Minister said that it is important to maintain the antiquity and historicity of religious cities which are identified by their temples or other prestigious buildings. Therefore, high height buildings should not be allowed around them.
Instructions to keep buses out
The Chief Minister said that traffic management in cities is an important subject. Give preference to electric buses in the city. Conventional fuel buses should be kept out of the city as much as possible. Determine suitable space for multilevel parking.
He said that there are immense possibilities in every big city of the state. GIS- Big investment has come in every district in 2023. In such a situation, the system should be taken forward by marking clear areas for Medicity, Sports City, Education City, Convention Center etc. in the master plan of Mathura-Vrindavan, Gorakhpur, Varanasi. It should be ensured that 15-16 percent is reserved for green area in the master plan of every city. Wherever there is a green belt, no new colony should be established under any circumstances.
Big role of housing sector
The Chief Minister also said that with the development of the new colony, all types of basic facilities like roads, sewer, electricity, water should be available there. The Chief Minister said that the housing sector has a big role in making the state’s economy a one trillion dollar economy.
New townships must be developed near special economic zones and industrial areas. International level convention centers should be developed in all development authorities. Local bodies should ensure that illegal settlements are not established anywhere, under any circumstances.
