DM’s son eats mid-day meal in Anganwadi
17 month old Abhijit mingles well with other children. He also eats food with them. He spends many hours here. Sitting with the same children, he also eats the mid-day meal provided in Anganwadi. The DM goes by car every morning to drop him off. She also stays there with other children for 20 to 30 minutes. After that she leaves the child and goes to the office. When the child is on leave, the DM’s staff car comes to pick him up.
‘Our government schools and Anganwadi centers are now no less than anyone’
DM says that our government schools and Anganwadi centers are now no less than anyone. There are every facilities there now. Learning labs are also being built. The staff is also good. The staff at Anganwadi centers take good care of the children. The Anganwadi center of Darshana village is very close to his residence. Son Abhijit’s interest in learning has increased by visiting Anganwadi centre. He is being social. Gets along with everyone. According to DM, she wants her son to get along well with all the children. If he develops good values then it will be useful to him in future.
Number of children increased at Anganwadi center
After the admission of DM’s son, the number of children at this center has also increased. Earlier there were 30 children here, in the last three months this number has increased to 38. The staff here also takes great care of everyone. After this step of DM, people of nearby villages have also been inspired.
