Aligarh. The woman who was injured by the pistol fired by Inspector Manoj Sharma in the police station six days ago, lost the battle of life on Wednesday. He breathed his last late last night at Jawaharlal Nehru (JN) Medical College. In view of the anger of the people, vigilance has been increased in the area. Preparations were underway to conduct the post-mortem of the dead body in the night itself.
On the other hand, the constable Sudeep, resident of Takipur village of Etawah, who gave the pistol loaded with magazine from the armory to the inspector, has been arrested and sent to jail. He was suspended along with the Inspector on the day of the incident. The police have not been able to find the inspector yet.

Ishrat Nigar, wife of hardware businessman Shakeel Ahmed, resident of Haddi Godown, had gone to Uparkot police station with her son on December 8 to get the passport verified. She was waiting for the scribe there.
Constable Sudeep present at the armory had given the pistol to Inspector Manoj Kumar without taking out the magazine. The inspector loaded the pistol and pressed the trigger. The bullet hit the woman near her temple.
Took out the piece of pill but my health did not improve
On Tuesday, doctors at JN Medical performed an operation and removed the bullet fragment, but there was no improvement in his health. After the news of death, a crowd gathered at the medical college.
Inspector Manoj, originally a resident of village Simavati in Muradnagar police station area of Ghaziabad, could not be found anywhere. His house in Shatabdi Nagar, Meerut was also raided.
Departmental investigation continues
Non-bailable warrants (NBW) have been issued. A reward of Rs 20 thousand has already been announced. Police is also preparing for attachment. SP City Mrigank Shekhar Pathak said that the section of murderous attack and involvement in conspiracy has been increased against the constable. A departmental inquiry is being conducted regarding the negligence.
