Glenn Maxwell has openly stated that he would like to play IPL till the end of his career. He also said that IPL will probably be the last tournament that he will play. While explaining the importance of IPL in his life, Maxwell said, “I always talk about what a great tournament IPL is. It is worth noting that Maxwell is currently a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore. The RCB team made him its part in 2021. So far, he has played 42 matches for Bangalore, batting in 41 innings, he has scored 1214 runs at an average of 34.69 and strike rate of 161.44. During this period, he has scored 12 half-centuries.
The Australian batsman made his IPL debut in 2012 for Delhi Capitals. Maxwell has so far played for a total of four teams in the tournament, which include Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.
