Sonbhadra. Duddhi MLA Ramdular God, surrounded by allegations of raping a minor girl and POCSO Act, has got relief for the time being. After the intervention of the High Court, the court of ADJ I Khalikujjama has fixed November 20 for hearing in the case. The Administrative Judge of the High Court has sought a report from the District Judge regarding the MLA’s allegations within four weeks.
Expressing fear of not getting justice from the ADJ First Court, the MLA had appealed for transfer of the case. Now a decision is expected to come only after the hearing to be held on November 20.
An appeal was made to transfer the file to another court.
The hearing in the court of ADM Pratham Khalikujjama in the case of Duddhi MLA facing charges of raping a teenage girl and POCSO Act is almost completed. Earlier there was a discussion that the court will give its verdict in this case on October 12, but at that time the MLA had given an application before the District Judge and expressed the fear of not getting justice and appealed to transfer the file to another court.
However, the District Judge had rejected his appeal with the argument that only one court has the right to hear the case related to MP MLA in the district, hence the case cannot be transferred from there. On the date of hearing on Tuesday, the MLA along with his supporters reached his advocate’s chamber in the afternoon. He once went towards the court but returned midway. Then at around four in the evening, both of them reached the court and returned after signing.
Hearing will be held on 20th November
According to the prosecution, the next hearing of this case has been fixed on November 20. This is the allegation against the MLA. The brother of a girl from a village in Myorpur police station area lodged a complaint in the police station alleging that Ramdular Gond had raped his sister.
He had demanded action by making various allegations. Based on her complaint, the police had registered a case against Ramdular under various sections including rape. After this, the police filed a charge sheet and started effective advocacy in the court. The girl’s statement in this case has also been given earlier.
