Yuvraj Singh is angry with the way Shreyas Iyer lost his wicket in the India-Australia World Cup match. He has expressed his anger through a post on social media.
Yuvraj Singh has written that the batsman playing at number-4 should have the habit of bearing pressure. He said that when the team tries to take control of its innings again, Shreyas Iyer needs to play with better thinking and understanding.
It is noteworthy that while chasing the target of 200 runs set by Australia, both the Indian opening batsmen returned to the pavilion without opening their account. Here Shreyas Iyer was expected to handle the innings but he gave away his wicket while playing a bad shot on a ball from Josh Hazlewood. Shreyas also left without opening an account.
Virat and Rahul took over the innings
After losing three wickets for a total of two runs, Team India seemed to be heading towards defeat. However, the innings of Virat Kohli (85) and KL Rahul (97) paved the way for India’s victory.
Yuvraj Singh also expressed his views regarding the innings of these two batsmen. He wrote that I am still not able to understand why KL Rahul is not batting at number-4. While playing in this order, he has also scored a century against Pakistan. Yuvraj further wrote, do not drop the catch of Virat Kohli, he can take the match away from you.
