Deoria. After the massacre over land in Fatehpur village of Rudrapur, administrative action has started against the land mafia in the district. On the orders of the District Magistrate, the administration attached the restaurant of land mafia Ramkripal Yadav alias Dhodha Yadav located at Gauri Khurd intersection of Gauribazar police station. The value of the attached property is said to be Rs 3.5 crore.

Action was taken against Ramkripal Yadav alias Dhodha, resident of Vishunpura village of Surauli police station area, under Gangster Act in Barhaj police station. It was being investigated from Surauli police station. After receiving the police report, District Magistrate Akhand Pratap Singh ordered to confiscate the property of the land mafia. On Saturday, CO Rudrapur Anshuman Srivastava, Gauribazar in-charge Inspector Raju Singh and Tehsildar Sadar Krishna Kumar Mishra reached the restaurant located near Gauri Khurd on Gorakhpur-Deoria road and seized it. A case is registered against him in various police stations of Deoria and Gorakhpur under various sections including fraud.
The first case was registered in 2008 at Barhaj police station. Vinod Yadav, resident of Jhusuna, Bansgaon, filed a case in the Cantt police station of Gorakhpur on 25 September 2022. On October 1, 2022, Akhilanand Kushwaha of Mehrauna village of Bariyarpur police station filed a case of fraud against him in Bhaluani police station.
At Bhaluani police station itself, on October 1, 2022, Bhagirathi Nishad, a resident of Bagahi Tola of Surauli, also filed a case of fraud against Ramkripal. There is an allegation of embezzling Rs 8.5 lakh in the name of providing land.
