Muzaffarnagar: Around 70 people from eight families left Muslim religion and converted to Hinduism at Yashveer Ashram in Baghra of Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh. It is claimed that he was a Hindu earlier also, he was converted. On Saturday, havan-puja was performed in the ashram in the presence of Yashveer Maharaj.
Acharya Mrigendra purified everyone by offering sacrifices in the havan. After bathing with Ganga water, Om symbol was worn on the sacred thread and red thread. Their names were also changed to Hindu. Acharya Mrigendra said that all the above mentioned people are residents of different localities of Muzaffarnagar city.
He was forcibly converted about 10 years ago. Now these people are returning home and adopting Hindu religion.
