Bareilly: In Aliganj town of Amla tehsil area of Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday, 3 children sitting on a vehicle involved in the procession taken out on Shri Krishna Janmashtami got scorched by the high tension line. This information was provided by officers. According to sources, angry villagers created ruckus by pelting stones at the power house alleging negligence. On receiving this information, Cabinet Minister Dharampal Singh along with the police force reached the spot.
Officials said that the injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Bareilly for treatment. District Magistrate Shivakant Dwivedi said that on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, a procession was taken out from Aliganj town. He told that three children sitting on a DJ Sangeet vehicle involved in the said procession got burnt due to coming in contact with the high tension line. He said that all three children were admitted to a private hospital in the city. He said that the condition of two of those children is out of danger while the condition of one is critical. He told that these children include Arpit Gupta (15), Ujjwal (14) and Rohit Gauswami (12).
According to sources, after this incident, the people involved in the procession got enraged and created a ruckus by pelting stones at the power house, accusing the electricity department employees of negligence. Sources said that on receiving information about this, the police station reached the spot and started trying to pacify the people. Here, on receiving information about this, Cabinet Minister Dharampal Singh also reached the spot and took information about the incident. Many officials including District Magistrate Shivakant Dwivedi, Senior Superintendent of Police Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan inquired about the condition of the children. District Magistrate Dwivedi said that investigation is being conducted and action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
