A painful accident took place in Jhansi on Monday night. A fierce fire broke out in three big showrooms of electronics in Sipri Bazar. Five people living above the showroom were burnt to death in the fire. A woman officer of an insurance company is also included in the dead. The fire was so severe that the army had to be called on the spot. When the army team reached the spot, the fire brigade started a rescue operation to rescue the people trapped inside the house. The team rescued seven people from inside the house, while the dead bodies of five people were found. Seven people are still being reported missing.
SSP Rajesh S told that on Monday night suddenly a fire broke out in three big electronics showrooms in Sipri Bazar. Some families used to live on rent above the showroom. The fire spread so fast that people did not get a chance to get out. On receiving the information, the police and fire brigade team started extinguishing the fire, but the fire was increasing. In view of this, 30 more tankers of the fire brigade were called from the surrounding districts.
SSP Rajesh S told that the biggest challenge before us was to get the families living above the showroom safely. The fire brigade team was trying on the spot, but could not get success. In view of this, the army was informed about the incident. A contingent of the army reached the spot along with the fire brigade and started the rescue operation.
Army and fire brigade rescued 7 people
The SSP told that the army and the fire brigade took out seven people safely. During this, a female deadbody was also found in a burnt state. The family members who were brought out after rescue told that about eight to 10 people are still trapped inside. The army and fire brigade team tried to rescue the trapped people, but could not get success.
How the fire broke out in the showroom, will be investigated- SSP
The flames were so terrible that it was difficult to go inside. The SSP told that after the fire was brought under control late in the night, the rescue operation was carried out again. Three more deadbodies have been found from inside the house. All the dead bodies have been taken into custody and sent for postmortem. The reasons for the accident are being investigated. Whether the owner of the showroom had taken NOC from the fire brigade or not is also a matter of investigation.
7 people still missing, team searching in flats
On the other hand, when the army and fire brigade team conducted a search operation inside the house this morning, a dead body was found in burnt condition. It is being told that seven people are still missing. Army and fire brigade teams are investigating all the flats one by one, so that it can be known whether these people are alive or not.
