Lucknow: Pakistani intelligence agency ISI has hatched a deep conspiracy to trap police, military and security officers of other states including Uttar Pradesh through 14 beauties. The Intelligence Headquarters has alerted the officers by sharing the photo, mobile number and URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of these beauties being used for honey trap.
ISI has been carrying out such attacks in the past too by using internet media as a weapon. In the alert issued from the Intelligence Headquarters, officers and their relatives have also been advised to avoid these beauties on the internet media.
Fake accounts have been created on social media
ISI’s unit PIO (Pakistan Intelligence Operative) has created accounts on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram and other platforms of internet media by putting pictures of beautiful girls. All accounts are opened using Indian mobile numbers. It has been said in the issued alert that apart from the officers and personnel of UP Police and other security related departments and organizations, there is a conspiracy to honeytrap their family members.
Female agents of PIOs are trying to trap them by making audio and video calls and talking obscenely. By showing the fear of making the audio-video recordings public, sensitive and confidential information related to the security of the country is being collected from them.
Big officers are hesitating to tell anything
Data is hacked from their mobiles and laptops through spyware links. Senior police officers are shying away from speaking anything in this matter. However, it has not yet been confirmed that any officer has been caught in the trap. Senior officers have been asked to conduct intensive monitoring of internet media and inform their subordinates about it. This alert has been issued on 26 June. Other investigative and intelligence agencies are also involved in the investigation.
Pakistani intelligence agencies have been adopting different maneuvers for honeytrap for the last seven-eight years. In the year 2018, UP ATS with the help of Maharashtra ATS arrested Nishant Agarwal, Senior System Engineer of Nagpur-based BrahMos Missile Unit on suspicion of espionage.
Similarly, in the year 2016, BSF jawan Achyutanand Mishra was a victim of honeytrap. Many cases of honeytrap have come to the fore. ISI also keeps an eye on youths who want to join army, paramilitary forces and police through internet media.
