Prayagraj: The deteriorating law and order situation in the Commissionerate is such that 48-year-old Pushpa, wife of Inspector Nihal Singh Yadav, was murdered inside the house in Dhumanganj area. She was alone in the house when she was strangled to death with a rope. This came to know on Sunday afternoon when the woman from the neighborhood went inside the house.
The police, after inspecting the house, claimed that there had been no looting. When the husband and daughter-sons came home at night, they were talked to, but it remains a mystery as to who killed the woman and why?
Children used to talk to their mother on the phone everyday
Assistant Sub-Inspector Nihal Singh Yadav, posted at Government Railway Police Tundla, has built a house at a distance of about one kilometer from Peepal village police post. The elder of his two sons, Vikram, works in Lucknow and the younger Bunty in Kanpur. Daughter Poonam working in Railways is posted in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. Wife Pushpa lived alone in a three-storey house here as all three children were outside and husband Nihal was in Tundla. The population around his house is less. Very few houses have been built. Daughter and son used to talk to mother on phone everyday.
Neighbor Babli found the dead body lying on the bed in the room
Daughter Poonam called several times on Sunday morning but could not talk to mother Pushpa. The bell kept ringing but the call was not received. Distressed, at around twelve o’clock in the afternoon, he called Babli, who lives in the neighborhood, and asked her to go to the house and see. When Babli went, the gate of the house was open. When Pushpa was not seen in the rooms of the first and second floor, Babli reached the third floor. Pushpa’s dead body was seen on the bed as soon as she entered the room. There were strangulation marks around the neck. Blood was oozing from the nose. However, the rope was not found there. She ran out of the house screaming and told Pushpa’s daughter Poonam over the phone. When there was an uproar, the people around gathered there. Dhumanganj police station in-charge Rajesh Kumar Maurya reached with the police force. The forensic team and the sniffer dog were called and the house was investigated. Everything was normal in the rooms on all three floors. Nothing was seen to suspect robbery. Pushpa’s mobile phone was missing. The phone kept telling switched off. It is feared that the murderer himself has taken away the mobile phone. DCP Deepak says that many police teams are investigating. Information is also being taken from family members. Neighbors are also being questioned.
A day ago midnight was seen on the terrace
In conversation with the people living in the nearby house, the police came to know that Pushpa was seen walking on the terrace till around 12 midnight on Saturday. She must have gone to the terrace because of the power cut. It is clear from this that the incident took place on Sunday morning or early morning. The police also believe that the murder took place a few hours before the information was received in the afternoon.
who was given water in the glass
Police found two glasses and a bottle of water kept on the table in the second floor room. It is suspected that someone had come from outside for whom Pushpa had given water in a glass and kept a bottle. There may be two people coming. But everything was fine till midnight and when the murder took place in the morning, the question of when these outsiders came is troubling the police. If nothing was looted then what is the reason for the murder? The only way to enter the house is the gate, which if closed, cannot be entered in any way. So, did Pushpa only open the gate and when did she open the gate? Police will get the call details of the mobile phone to get some clues.
