Agra. After stealing from the businessman’s house in Mumbai, the servant had contacted the moneylender of Shahganj through Instagram. After this he had sold jewelery worth Rs 65 lakh. After the arrest of the accused servant, the Mumbai Police reached Agra on Sunday with him. Five people have been picked up by the police from Shahganj area. Efforts are being made to recover the jewellery.
Utensil export businessman’s house was stolen
Vishnu Kumar Gupta, a resident of Mumbai’s Dadar area, has a business of exporting aluminum utensils. According to his son Meet Gupta, he had gone to Siliguri from February 5 to 7. Hanspuri Goswami, a resident of Banaskantha, Gujarat, was left as a servant at home. He was working with them for five years. That’s why he was a confidant. However, the very next day after leaving his house, he ran away from the house after collecting jewelery and other items. On his return, he came to know about the incident. After this, he got the charges registered.
Jewelery worth 65 lakh stolen
The servant had stolen jewelery worth about Rs 65 lakh. A week ago Mumbai Police caught the accused Hanspuri. On questioning him, he told that he had contacted the bullion of Agra through Instagram. Saraf called him to Agra. The jewelery was shown to the moneylender in Shahganj market. Saraf had melted the jewelery after getting it tunched. Hanspuri says that he was given Rs 15 lakh by Saraf. He went to Gujarat with the money.

On Sunday, six policemen including Mumbai Police Inspector Ramakrishna Sagade and the son of a businessman came to Agra along with the servant. By evening, the police caught five people from Shahganj area. Efforts are being made to recover the jewelery from them.
Saraf said, did not buy the goods
Mumbai Police reached Shahganj’s Saraf regarding the accused of theft. Saraf says that he did not buy jewelery from the thief. Police was inquiring.
