Ghaziabad. A sudden fire broke out in a junk godown on Thursday evening in Vikas Nagar of Nandgram police station area. Due to the presence of empty perfume bottles in the junk, the fire took an immediate form. Eight people including mother and son got burnt in this accident. All have been admitted to different hospitals. Here the condition of mother and son remains critical. Both have been referred to Delhi GTB Hospital. Five fire tenders reached the spot and brought the fire under control after an hour’s effort.
It is suspected that the fire started due to the spark of bidi. Chief Fire Officer Rahul Pal told that Manjesh Kumar of Seva Nagar has built a junk warehouse in a vacant plot in Vikas Nagar. On Thursday evening, some people were scavenging and breaking empty perfume bottles, they were extracting aluminum from them. During this, a bottle suddenly caught fire and due to many bottles being around, the fire spread rapidly.
When the fire department received information at 7:58 pm, five fire tenders were sent to the spot. Fire engines brought the fire under control after an hour’s effort. In this incident, Budhu’s wife Ramchand and her 14-year-old son Mohit, residents of Nawabganj Bareilly, were seriously burnt.
Both live with their families in the Nandgram police station area. Along with them, Jyoti of Seva Nagar, Rajeshwari of Krishna Nagar, Manjesh of Seva Nagar, Ramu of Krishna Nagar, Rishabh of Krishna Nagar and Awadhesh of Seva Nagar suffered minor burns. Buddhu and Mohit were admitted to the United District Hospital. Seeing the critical condition of both here, they were referred to Delhi GTB Hospital. While the remaining six people have been admitted to Kailash Hospital on Meerut Road. Here their condition is said to be out of danger.

The fire in the junk lying in the plot suddenly took a dreadful form. High flames started rising from the plot. After people were scorched, there was a scream on the spot and people ran to help them. People took him to the hospital in private vehicles. On the spot, people got involved in relief work and helped the fire brigade personnel.
Being a residential colony created an atmosphere of panic
The plot in which the scrap warehouse was running is a residential area and a large number of people live here. As soon as the fire broke out, there was a stir among the people of the nearby houses and people came out of the houses. Firefighters reached the spot and tried to control the fire, but the fire was so severe that it was difficult to extinguish it. Firefighters surrounded the plot from all sides and controlled the fire by spraying water.
