Unnao: A sleeper bus going from Rajkot in Gujarat’s Lakhimpur district to Palia Tikunia collided with a slow-moving mini truck ahead at around 6 a.m. in Auras area on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. Four of the 60 passengers, including a woman, died in the accident. Six were injured. Five of the injured have been referred from CHC Auras to Trauma Center Lucknow. The passengers of the bus wandering here and there were stopped at Auras toll and arrangements were made for their food and drink.
About 60 people from the country of Nepal earn their living by working as laborers in Gujarat. On Sunday, everyone boarded a sleeper bus going to Palia (UP-Nepal border) in Lakhimpur district to go home by sleeper bus. A bus rammed into a slow-moving potato-laden mini truck at Auras on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in fog. UPEDA’s patrolling team patrolling amid screams reached the spot and informed the police and started the rescue operation.
10 were taken to CHC in critical condition. Four including a woman were declared dead while six seriously injured have been referred to Lucknow Trauma Center. Police is trying to identify the dead.
