Lucknow. In view of the ever-increasing cases of dengue, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with the officials of the Health Department and gave many important guidelines. He said that health department officials should go to the field to control dengue. He should visit the spot to review the arrangements made for rescue and where improvement is needed, immediate improvement should be made. Availability of doctors and medicines should be ensured on mission mode.
Surveillance activities should be increased in dengue affected areas
In this meeting held at his official residence at Panch Kalidas Marg, he said that surveillance activities should be increased in dengue affected areas. In the area where more dengue patients are being found, people around them should be investigated and special attention should be given to cleanliness. All municipal corporations and local bodies should make special arrangements for spraying and fogging of anti-larvae.
Hospitals should have enough beds for dengue patients
To prevent mosquito breeding, anti-larva spraying and fogging should be done from time to time. Officials should monitor it better and ensure this arrangement at all costs. Strict action will be taken if negligence is found. Adequate beds should be arranged in hospitals for the admission of dengue patients. Dengue patient coming to the hospital should be provided better treatment facilities. The number of beds should also be increased as per the need.
Shortage of doctors and personnel should be met in hospitals
The team of doctors and paramedical personnel should monitor these patients properly. Such hospitals where there is a shortage of doctors and staff, it should be filled immediately. According to the need, doctors and workers should be appointed on contract immediately. Hospitals should have adequate arrangements for screening of dengue patients. Card examination of patients with fever and then ELISA test should be done.
More than seven and a half thousand cases of dengue were reported in the state
It is to be known that since January 2022 till now, more than seven and a half thousand patients of dengue have been reported in the state. In such a situation, all necessary measures are being taken for prevention. Earlier, on 26 October 2022, Yogi had given necessary guidelines regarding dengue after meeting with the health department officials. He had asked to make separate wards for dengue patients in hospitals.
