Lucknow. The work of survey of madarsas in Uttar Pradesh has been completed. The report is being compiled in the districts, which will be submitted to the Home Department of the government on November 15. It has been found in this survey that about eight thousand madarsas are unrecognized in Uttar Pradesh. Most of them are also in the city of Moradabad.
The survey work of madrasas in Uttar Pradesh has been started from September 10. After the survey in the districts, the report was to be sent to the government by October 15, but it has been extended till November 15. Now all the district magistrates will give the report of madrasas to the government by November 15.
A total of 16,513 recognized madrassas
There are a total of 16,513 madarsas in the state that are recognized by the Uttar Pradesh Madarsa Education Council. Of these, a large number of madrasas are also running without recognition. To get information about these, the government has conducted a madrasa survey. In this, about eight thousand unrecognized madrasas have been found. In such a situation, the total number of madrasas in the state has now exceeded 24 thousand.
Madarsa Board Chairman Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Javed said that on the basis of the data obtained from the survey, the government would arrange quality education for the children studying here. Efforts will be made to bring the children here in the mainstream of the country and society. He once again clarified that the data of any kind, valid or illegal, would not be available from the survey of unrecognized madrassas in the state.
The report was given to the district magistrates by 31 October.

More than 550 unrecognized madrasas in Moradabad
The Uttar Pradesh government claims that this survey is not about the real fake but to get the correct information about the number of education and education centers, their arrangement etc. More than 550 unrecognized madrasas have been found in Moradabad. More than 350 madrasas have been found in Basti, 100 in Lucknow, 90 in Prayagraj, 95 in Azamgarh, 90 in Mau and 85 in Kanpur.
The government had earlier fixed October 15 as the last date to complete the survey work of madrasas. The complete report of the survey will be sent to the state government through the District Magistrate by November 15. On the basis of the data obtained from the survey, while arranging quality education for the children, efforts will be made to bring them into the mainstream of the country and society by better development. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the top officials had started the process of checking 11 points regarding the survey of madrasas in all the districts.
